- Fulfil the statutory duties of the Independent Reviewing Officer in accordance with the Care Planning Regulations and IRO Handbook.
- Chair Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews, ensuring plans are outcome-focused, timely, and centred on the child's needs and wishes.
- Monitor the implementation of care plans, identify drift, delay, or unmet needs, and ensure appropriate escalation where required.
- Ensure children and young people are fully involved in review processes and that their views are recorded, represented, and acted upon.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to children's social care and safeguarding.
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
- Experience of working with looked after children, child protection, and safeguarding processes.
