The RoleWe re looking for a confident, hands-on Transport Operations Manager to lead transport across multiple sites. You ll be at the heart of operational decision-making, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient deliveries while driving continuous improvement across the business.
- Lead & Inspire Teams:
Manage transport staff across general traffic and pallet network operations. Coach, develop, and motivate your teams to perform at their best. - Drive Operational Excellence:
Ensure deliveries are reliable, on-time, and exceed customer expectations. Implement and maintain best-in-class planning and operational standards. - Champion Compliance:
Act as CPC Transport Manager, overseeing drivers, vehicles, schedules, and legal obligations. Keep the business fully compliant and audit-ready at all times. - Control Costs & Improve Efficiency:
Optimise vehicle utilisation, staffing, routes, and resources. Deliver cost savings while maintaining service quality. - Be the Customer s Hero:
Maintain strong relationships with customers, quickly resolving queries, and ensuring service levels consistently exceed expectations.
- CPC Transport Manager qualified (mandatory).
- Experienced in transport management or operations within UK logistics.
- Confident multi-site leader with hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Strong planner who thrives under pressure and can balance multiple priorities.
- Excellent communicator and influencer, comfortable liaising with senior management.
- Tech-savvy, ideally with TMS/WMS experience
