Humly is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a SEN school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role supporting children with a range of additional needs, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, learning delay, physical difficulties, challenging behaviour, and social and emotional challenges. It would suit a dedicated and compassionate professional looking to make a real difference in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Support children with additional needs in line with individual education plans
* Deliver targeted interventions to promote learning and development
* Assist with managing challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive way
* Encourage social and emotional growth through structured activities
* Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt resources and lesson plans
* Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and SEN coordinators
What You’ll Bring
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
* Knowledge of strategies for supporting ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, staff, and parents
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable)
Pay
* £14.85 per hour
