ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to significant growth in our construction apprenticeships, we are looking for an Apprentice Skills & Development Coach for Electrical to join our established apprenticeship team.

As an Apprentice Skills & Development Coach you will be responsible for a group of learners in your trade expertise area. Delivery will consist mainly of 1 to 1 meetings in the apprentices’ workplace, working closely with the employers to develop the apprentices to achieve national accreditation.

You will undertake continuous assessment and observations to ensure the learners are progressing and reaching their full potential for sustaining employment. The Assessors will work in collaboration with the college teaching team for the learners to attend their classes to build their knowledge and practical skills in a supportive environment.

It is essential that applicants possess relevant occupational qualifications and substantial work experience in the Electrical sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical installations (advanced apprenticeship in electrical installation) or equivalent

Level 3 certificate in the requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition bs7671: 2018)

Level 3 certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Installation or equivalent

Minimum Level 2 Maths and English qualification

Assessor / A1 desirable

Relevant Professional Membership desirable

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Recent and relevant industry experience in sector essential

A minimum 3 years’ experience in installation essential

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Dedicated essential

Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, prioritise and commit to strict deadlines whilst maintaining the quality of output essential

Work collaboratively and for the good of all essential
