We are working with a well‑established Further Education provider in West Cumbria that is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer on a permanent, full‑time basis.

Whether you’re already teaching or currently working in industry and considering a move into education, this is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career whilst sharing your knowledge and experience with aspiring engineers.

You will deliver high‑quality teaching and practical training to learners studying Mechanical Engineering programmes from Level 1 through to Level 3. The role will involve a mixture of classroom‑based theory and hands‑on workshop delivery, helping learners develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required by industry.

You will also support learner progress, contribute to curriculum delivery, and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant industrial experience within a mechanical engineering environment
• Strong practical and theoretical engineering knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in supporting and developing learners

Teaching experience is welcomed but not essential. Applications are encouraged from experienced engineers looking to move into education, with full training and support available.
