Kirkland C of E Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team this September!

As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice you will work alongside experienced staff, supporting pupils in their learning and development, while gaining valuable skills and a recognised qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in a friendly and supportive school environment.

• Support the class teacher in lessons, helping to manage pupil behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils, as directed by the teacher, to help them achieve learning goals.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
• Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access learning opportunities.
• Promote inclusion and encourage positive interactions among pupils.
• Help supervise pupils during break times and school activities.
• Participate in training and development activities as part of the apprenticeship.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school safeguarding policies at all times.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C/4

Monday - Friday: 9:15am - 3:15pm
