As an Electrical & Instrumentation Trainer/Assessor you will be responsible for delivering outstanding learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire apprentices to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully pass their apprenticeship and progress in their career. The role will also include the progressive development of the Electrical & Instrumentation engineering curriculum and the material associated with its delivery.
You will develop and maintain the current course material including lesson plans and schemes of work for a range of courses.
- Minimum Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
- Competent in domestic or industrial installation & maintenance – ideally holding 18th Edition qualification
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical & Instrumentation and having served a full Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Hold an assessor qualification or be willing to work towards attaining one
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards attaining one
- Effective communicator and team player, with a minimum of three years experience in electrical & instrumentation industry
- Sound knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering principles
- Experience delivering and developing Electrical & Instrumentation engineering courses
- Knowledge and experience of plant and process control systems
- Understanding of the Advanced Apprenticeship Framework and the funding process
- Knowledge of alternative teaching/learning options
- Intermediate level understanding of MS Office applications
- Experience of Training Needs Analysis and Programme Design
