Position: Lecturer- Business (various hours available)

Lakes College is a technical vocational Further Education College delivering education and training to full-time and part-time learners and apprentices to degree level. About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Business Lecturer to join our dynamic and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional or experienced educator to play a key role in delivering high-quality business education and helping learners achieve their ambitions.

The successful candidate will bring substantial industry experience in a business-related field, such as finance, business administration, human resources, operations, management, marketing, or enterprise, together with the enthusiasm and commitment to support the continued growth and success of our department.

You will be an engaging communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, employers, and colleagues across a variety of sectors.

What We're Looking For:
  • A Level 3 qualification or above in Business, Finance, Management, Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant industry experience in a business-related role is essential.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting and developing learners.

Previous teaching experience and a recognised teaching qualification are desirable but not essential. If you have the right industry expertise and enthusiasm, full teacher training and support will be provided through our outstanding teacher education programme.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant area – essential
  • 5 GCSE’s (including Maths & English or equivalent) – essential
  • Degree in a relevant subject – desirable
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to confidently manage learner behaviour – essential
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of subject area – essential
  • Recent and relevant industry experience in sector – essential
  • Experience of working within the post 16/HE sector supporting learners – essential
