ABOUTTHE ROLE
Lakes College seeks to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to complement our existing delivery team as Lecturer in childhood education. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to inspire and support learners preparing for careers within the education and childcare sectors.
As a Lecturer in Childhood Education, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of childhood education programmes. Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will help learners develop the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours required to succeed in early years, childcare, and educational settings.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject such as Early Years/ Primary/Secondary vocational qualification and hold or be willing to work towards level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications.
In addition to this, applicants will have recent and relevant experience/knowledge of the EYFS or national curriculum with knowledge of assisting teaching within an education or childcare setting to support the delivery of childhood education.
Recent relevant teaching experience along with a recognised teaching qualification is considered advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided from our outstanding teacher education department.
