Lakes College seeks to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to complement our existing delivery team as Lecturer Health and Social Care.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a Degree in Nursing or a similar Professional Qualification. You will have a range of experience in the Health & Social Care sector, as well as demonstratable in-depth knowledge of the subject area, which can be used to help support the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required of an excellent Health & Social Care learner.

The right person will have a passion for working with and developing young people into their chosen career.

As a Lecturer in Health & Social Care, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of programmes. Working collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and learners, you will support students to achieve their qualifications while developing the professional behaviours and practical understanding needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships, or higher education.

Recent and relevant teaching experience along with a recognised teaching qualification is considered advantageous but not essential as full training and development will be provided for this role.

Level 3 qualification in a relevant area essential

Formal Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed/ PGCE / BA Ed) desirable

Recent and relevant industry experience in sector essential

Experience of working within the post 16/HE sector supporting learners essential

Recent relevant teaching experience with good or outstanding observation grades
