This leading education provider has an outstanding reputation for delivering high‑quality engineering apprenticeships and training programmes. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineering Assessor to join our expanding engineering team.
In this role, you will support and assess apprentices working towards Mechanical Engineering qualifications. You will carry out workplace assessments, review learner progress, provide coaching and mentoring, and work closely with employers to ensure apprentices successfully complete their programmes. Full assessor training and qualifications will be provided for candidates looking to move into education.
The ideal candidate will have strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge and experience, along with a Level 3 qualification. Previous assessing experience is not required, just a passion for engineering and a desire to help others succeed.

The Role:- Assess and support apprentices working towards Mechanical Engineering qualifications
- Carry out workplace assessments, progress reviews, and learner coaching
- Work closely with employers to support apprentice development
- Full assessor training and qualifications provided
- 37-hour week, Monday to Friday
- Excellent career progression and development opportunities
- Mechanical Engineering background
- Level 3 qualification or higher
- Strong industry experience within Mechanical Engineering
- Interested in moving into an assessor or apprenticeship support role
- No assessing experience required
- Passionate about helping learners develop successful engineering careers
