North Cumbria Crisis Team is looking for highly motivated Clinical Support Assistants to join our newly developed Crisis Service.
You will have the opportunity to base in Carlisle or Workington to deliver high quality care to our patients in the community across North Cumbria.
You will work as part of an MDT, complimented by Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and medical staff.
If you have excellent communication skills, work well in a team and are committed to making a difference to our patients, then your characteristics are just what we are looking for.
Main duties of the jobTo assist in the delivery of care to service users who have a variety of needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health conditions, cognitive and/or learning disabilities under the direction of a registered practitioner. The overall responsibility for the service user remains, at all times with the registered practitioner. To implement and evaluate care within a prescribed framework as a member of the care team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this promotes recovery and wellbeing and maximises independence.
To support the team in providing excellent and effective person centred care. To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity. To actively engage with supervision and appraisal process as identified in Trust policy.

Person SpecificationKnowledge and Experience
- Experience of working/ volunteering in an appropriate care setting
- Senior Healthcare Support Worker or equivalent or working towards
- Experience of working within a relevant clinical service
- Ability to develop the skills of others and contribute to a learning environment and work without direct supervision
- IT functional skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team
