Support Worker, Healthcare Nursing

We are urgently seeking dedicated Agency Support Workers to provide consistent long day and night cover. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive, structured service where your skills truly make a difference. Shift Times

• Day: 07:15 – 19:45
• Night: 19:15 – 07:45

About the Support Worker RoleAs a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. You will work closely with residents, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach, have strong communication skills, and be able to work confidently both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

You will be flexible, reliable, and committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for those in your care. Candidate Responsibilities

• Support individuals with their daily routines
• Promote independence and empower service users
• Provide emotional support and companionship
• Assist with personal care activities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Follow care plans, safeguarding, and health & safety guidelines
• Work flexibly across long day and night shifts as required

Key Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months UK experience in a Support Worker role
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
• Ability to follow instructions and individual care plans
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts
• Based in, or willing to work in, Workington, Cumbria
