(TRAINEE) EXTRUSION OPERATOR We are currently seeking to recruit an Extrusion Operator or Trainee Extrusion Operator to join the Extrusion Business Unit based at the Workington Site.

Reporting to the Shift Manager the main duties of the Extrusion Operator involve the production of extruded material, using blown film technology, to the highest possible standard, for use in the food market. This is an operational role, working 12-hour shifts, which includes weekend, nights and days, within the Extrusion Business Unit. The role-holder is required to perform daily production tasks to support Plant Management, and co-workers in achieving the production plan.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

Due to the technical nature of the role good GCSE passes or equivalent in Maths, English and Science is essential. The candidate should show demonstrable experience in the following key areas:
Manual Handling Working safely ensuring work is completed in a safe manner, following all SSWs and Safety Policies. Team Working Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Have good organisation and prioritisation skills Good standard of literacy and numeracy IT Skills (Microsoft office)

Experience of accessing electronic information Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Process knowledge / experience Problem solving skills Ability to motivate self and others Closing Date - 7th August 2026
