Job Description HGV Class 1 Shunter Nights

£35,294 per annum

Stobart, part of the Culina Group, is looking for a Class 1 Shunter to join our operation at Iggesund Paper Mill in Workington.
This is a site-based role, responsible for the safe movement of trailers and vehicles around the yard, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high safety standards.
What you'll be doing:
Shunting trailers between loading bays and designated yard areas.
Positioning trailers for loading and unloading.
Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects.
Following all site safety procedures and regulations.
Working closely with the transport team to support daily operations.
Qualifications You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
Previous Experience in a HGV Shunting role is advantageous
No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation.
Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills.
