- The reception and documentation of patients, including validation of patient information.
- Updating patient information using the Patient Administration System.
- Assisting patients to use the self-check in kiosks where possible, recording the arrival of patients using the Trust's digital check in service.
- Dealing with any telephone enquiries received by the Outpatient department.
- Dealing with patient enquiries at the desk and giving directions to other departments.
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
- Previous experience working in a reception role
- Previous experience of using IT quickly.
- Previous experience of working within customer service.
