Holles Street provides short breaks for adults with learning disabilities and is one of three short breaks services run by Nottinghamshire County Council.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide complex business support to the team within the centre. It is essential that you can form positive relationships and be able to interact with people that use the service during their short break stays.
You will be the first port of call for anyone telephoning or visiting the Service, such as parents and carers, health professionals, Adult Care workers, so you must be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills, always communicate effectively whilst maintaining confidentiality. You will have regular contact with the people that use the service, therefore need to also be approachable.
Your day‑to‑day duties will include financial tasks, involving budget monitoring, making and recording payments from petty cash; working with the team to record requests for stays, book stays and issue confirmations of any bookings.
You must have excellent administrative and organisational skills, be competent in the use of spreadsheets and be able to provide management information and compile statistics.
Other duties include using electronic systems to ensure that bookings and attendance at the service are recorded accurately and to process payments, travel claims and absences for staff through to payroll.
You must be able to work on your own initiative.
You must have an awareness of and commitment to Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety issues.
Training will be conducted at other short break centres so access to a car and the ability to drive is preferable but not essential.
