Salary: £24,930 FTE (Pro-rata £10,215.60) per annum

Overview

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work within our busy Additional Learning Support Team. In this rewarding role, you will provide in‑class and out‑of‑class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities, helping them achieve their best possible outcomes. This may include personal care and/or literacy and numeracy support.

Responsibilities
  • Support students in and out of classroom settings.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and review of learning in partnership with curriculum staff.
  • Provide feedback and carry out reviews to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.
  • Manage challenging behaviour effectively and help students develop coping strategies.
Qualifications
  • Hold or be working towards Maths and English L2/C grade.
  • Be willing to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification.
  • Have experience supporting students in an educational setting.
  • Show knowledge of SEND, ALS and EHCPs.
Department Info

In this role you will work closely with members of the Additional Learning Support and Curriculum department teams, reporting directly to the LSA Manager and liaising closely with tutors to support learners within the classroom environment.
