North Notts College is recruiting a Lecturer in Health to join its growing Health and Social Care team. This role offers an opportunity for an experienced practitioner, tutor or assessor to use their professional expertise to support learners preparing for careers across the health sector.

You will teach and assess Health and Social Care programmes from Level 1 to Level 5. You will plan engaging lessons, develop relevant learning resources, assess learner work and monitor progress. You will also set clear targets and provide the support learners need to achieve positive outcomes.

• You will deliver practical, theoretical and digital learning across Health and Social Care programmes.
• You will plan and deliver high‑quality teaching that reflects current industry practice.
• You will assess learner work and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• You will monitor attendance, progress and achievement, taking early action where learners require further support.
• You will set meaningful targets that help learners develop their knowledge, skills and professional behaviours.
• You will contribute to curriculum development and create resources that support effective learning.
• You will work closely with curriculum leaders, lecturers, support teams and external partners.

• You will hold a relevant vocational qualification at Level 3 or above.
• You will hold a relevant teaching qualification and assessor award, or be willing to work towards them.
• You will hold Level 2 English and Maths qualifications, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards them.
• You will bring current or recent health sector knowledge into the classroom.
• Experience with in nursing, mental health or another relevant healthcare setting would be an advantage.
• You will communicate confidently, work well within a team and support learners from a range of backgrounds and starting points.
• You will use practical examples and industry experience to make learning relevant and engaging.

• The role includes access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, with employer contributions between 17.7% and 23.68%.
