Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant Location: Primary schools across Worksop, Nottinghamshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Temporary

Are you a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant looking for flexible opportunities in Worksop, Nottinghamshire?

Academics is working with a range of welcoming primary schools across the area and is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support Key Stage 2 pupils on a temporary basis from September 2026.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 2.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow all school policies and safeguarding procedures.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children within a primary school or similar educational setting.
  • A relevant Cache or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and completing annual safeguarding training.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
