We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Worksop. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality mathematics education, inspiring students to develop confidence in numeracy and problem-solving, and helping them achieve their academic potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their career within a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable).
- Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Support students in developing strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and departmental initiatives.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and intervention programmes where appropriate.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Previous teaching experience is desirable; ECTs are encouraged to apply.
