Maintenance Engineer - Electrically Biased (Worksop)

Shift Pattern: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm (rotating shifts)

Location: Worksop

The Role

We are seeking an apprentice-trained, electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join our Worksop facility. You will provide breakdown and maintenance cover across a varied range of machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns promptly.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults systematically.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure equipment is handed back in a safe condition.
  • Support operator training and competence assessments.
  • Identify and implement machine and process improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Strong electrical knowledge: ability to read electrical drawings, fault-find logically, and work with circuits from 415V to 24

    VDC.
  • Experience with inverters, servo and DC drives.
  • Understanding of pneumatics and ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Previous experience in a factory environment.
  • Working knowledge of injection molding machinery is essential.
Qualifications
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
