Accounts Assistant

Read Motor Group are an established and trusted family-run dealership group across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Norfolk.

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our existing accounts team based at our Hyundai dealership in Worksop
.

As an Accounts Assistant
, you will work within a centralised accounts team reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller
. You will ensure that all invoices and reports are produced in an accurate and timely manner.

You will be confident
, ideally with an accounts/ administration background.

Experience with in the motor industry would be beneficial although this is not essential as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Purchase Ledger: Code, input, and process supplier invoices and credit notes, and perform supplier statement reconciliations.
• Sales Ledger & Credit Control: Handle daily banking, post bank transactions, chase overdue debt, and resolve customer or debtor queries.
• Reconciliations: Conduct bank reconciliations, manage petty cash, and reconcile daily PDQ (card machine) transactions.
• Payment Runs: Prepare and process scheduled BACS payment runs and manage aged creditors.
• Month-End Support: Assist the Group Accounts Manager or Group Financial Controller with journal entries, data entry, and monthly management accounts.
• To ensure that accurate records are kept and updated daily

• Any additional duties as required

You will be especially competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, we are also looking for the successful candidate to have the following experience:

• Credit Control
• Cash Book Posting
