We require one additional Medical Scanner to join our Medical Records Team. Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous medical scanning experience within Systm One although not essential.

You will need to have the ability to work in a methodical manner, having excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate input of medical information and assigning of appropriate codes. The ability to work in a quiet environment is essential.

Main duties of the job
  • To scan all medical information and code where protocol allows,medical information from the hospital letters and input into the patient computer record. Adhering to the strict protocols to maintain a fully electronic patient record.
  • Support other staff in specific medical records tasks.
  • Distribute internal boxes and opening incoming post.
  • Toportray the Practice in a positive light.
  • To carry out any other reasonable instructions

  • Clinical Pharmacists managing medication related queries
  • Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators
  • Dedicated Administrative Team
  • Fantastic scanning and summarising team undertaking Read Coding
Job responsibilities

Person Specification Experience
  • The ability to work in a quiet environment

  • The ability to follow protocols
  • The ability to extract all relevant medical information from the daily hospital letters and patients notes and input into the patient computer record following strict protocols to maintain a fully electronic patient record
  • The ability to record accurate information onto the patients record to maintain a fully electronic patient record.
Qualifications
  • Maths and English and at least 3 others to GCSE level C/4 or equivalent
