Job Introduction This is an exciting senior leadership role responsible for ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence obligations, DVSA requirements and transport legislation while driving fleet efficiency, service performance and cost control. The successful candidate will provide leadership to drivers and road crews and play a key role in supporting profitable business growth.

Key Responsibilities Act as the nominated Transport Manager for Operator Licences and operating centres.

Maintain full compliance with all statutory, legal and regulatory obligations.

Lead fleet planning, utilisation and performance management.

Manage transport budgets and identify opportunities to reduce operating costs.

Monitor vehicle maintenance, inspections and annual test readiness.

Develop transport KPIs and reporting.

Recruit, coach, develop and performance-manage drivers and road crews.

Work collaboratively with Operations, Hire Desk, Sales and Project teams.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and fleet activities.

Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.

What We Are Looking For International CPC Holder (essential)
Extensive experience managing HGV and commercial vehicle fleets

Detailed understanding of DVSA regulations and Operator Licence requirements

Proven leadership and people management capability

Strong communication, planning and organisational skills

Commercial awareness with budget management experience

Full UK driving licence; HGV entitlement advantageous

Experience of delivering change and operational improvements

High vehicle test pass rates
