Overview We are seeking a dedicated Press Operative to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in fabrication, assembly, and tooling while contributing to the production of precision-engineered products.

Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday: 7.00am to 4:00pm Friday: 7.00am to 1.00pm Responsibilities Operate saws Break out laser cut parts. Inspects products, evaluate finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications. Maintain a clean work area. Advise Supervisor of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or any other types of manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved. Trained in manual handling techniques and carry out safe working practices.

Any other ad hoc duties as required Requirements Proven experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or related mechanical roles Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal processes and press operation Proficiency with hand tools, tooling setups, and basic math skills for measurements Ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions accurately Knowledge of safety standards relevant to manufacturing environments Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team If you are motivated by precision craftsmanship and eager to advance your skills in a dynamic manufacturing setting, we encourage you to apply today.
