The Role

Worksop College and Ranby House are independent day and boarding schools for pupils aged 2–18. We are seeking a proactive and organised Marketing Officer to join our successful Marketing team on a three-month fixed-term basis, providing sabbatical cover for the Head of Marketing.

The role focuses on maintaining momentum across existing marketing activity, ensuring consistent, high-quality output across digital platforms, and supporting key events, alumni engagement, and media relations. The postholder will not be expected to lead on strategy or major campaigns but will play a vital role in ensuring communications remain clear, engaging, and aligned with the school’s ethos and values.

This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a busy, community-focused education environment.

Desired Criteria

• Project management and/or event management experience.

• Previous experience in marketing, communications, or sales role.

• Experience working within a school or education environment.

Essential Criteria

• Strong written communication skills, with particular strength in creative and persuasive writing.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

• Strong time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

• Confident IT and digital skills, particularly in content creation and online communication.

• Experience of working to tight time frames and deadlines.

• A proactive, organised, and enthusiastic approach to work.
