Freezer Stores Coordinator – responsible for freezer store operations, stock control, and team supervision.
About the RoleBased at County Enterprise Foods, S81 7DW
, working 37 hours per week, you will play a key role in the day to day operation of the freezer stores. This is a physical, hands on role where you will ensure stock is managed effectively, orders are picked accurately and all food safety standards are maintained. You will also oversee a small team of 2-3 colleagues, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Freezer management: opening, checking and monitoring freezer temperatures to ensure compliance.
- Stock control: managing, rotating and recording stock accurately using spreadsheets.
- Order picking: ensuring all orders are picked correctly and on time.
- Team supervision: supporting and coordinating a small team to meet operational needs.
- Health and safety: maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation within freezer areas.
- Communication: liaising with multiple teams to ensure smooth day to day operations.
- Covering for the Dry Stores person (when on leave).
- Weighing up ingredients in line with production requirements.
- Receiving goods in, checking deliveries and ensuring accurate storage.
- Experience in a stores, warehouse or catering environment is desirable.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a small team is advantageous.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a freezer environment.
- Basic IT skills, confident using spreadsheets for stock control.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, able to liaise with different teams effectively.
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to work towards this.
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, manual environment.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- £14.08 per hour.
- Full time, stable hours (37 per week).
