Product Manager

Rug Doctor – the No.1 brand in carpet cleaner rental, are currently recruiting for a Product Manager, based at our headquarters in Worthing, West Sussex.

The Role

We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join the group of talented professionals at Rug Doctor, and now we are seeking to recruit a motivated Product Manager.

In this role you will manage Rug Doctor’s product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, supporting the introduction of new products, driving business growth, and providing technical and commercial support to sales channels and distribution partners.

Joining a leading company in the FMCG and cleaning technology sector, you will work closely with dynamic internal teams and external stakeholders. Analysing market trends and identifying opportunities, you will help to ensure that Rug Doctor remains top of mind for existing customers and potential prospects. Responsibilities
  • Managing and enhancing product features based on market research and consumer feedback.
  • Collaborating closely with production, operations, purchasing, and marketing teams to align product strategies.
  • Spearheading product launch campaigns and supporting promotional planning.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders and third‑party vendors to meet product goals.
  • Remaining vigilant about the competitive landscape to propose strategic adjustments.
  • Maintaining and monitoring Conformance to EN, BS and CE standards.
  • Spearheading the development of making the brand more sustainable.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven product management skills, particularly in FMCG, DIY or chemical sectors.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cross‑functional teamwork.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, supported by demonstrable experience in a client‑facing role.
  • A proactive approach to managing complex projects and achieving business results.
Qualifications
  • A background in Chemistry or a related field, especially pertinent to cleaning chemicals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
