Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are currently working with a warm, inclusive primary school in the Goring/Worthing area that is seeking a committed Individual Needs Assistant to join their team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a setting that values creativity, outdoor learning, and individualised support.

As an Individual Needs Assistant, you will be providing 1:1 or small group support to children who require additional help with learning, emotional regulation, or behaviour. Your role will be instrumental in helping pupils engage confidently in the classroom and feel included in all aspects of school life.
Responsibilities- Supporting children with special educational needs to access learning activities and the wider curriculum
- Assisting with emotional regulation and helping to develop positive behaviour strategies
- Encouraging independence and boosting pupils' self‑esteem and confidence
- Collaborating closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement and adapt support plans
- Providing consistent and nurturing support throughout the school day, including at break times and during enrichment activities such as Beach School
- Experience working with children with additional needs, or a relevant qualification (desirable)
- A calm, patient, and encouraging approach
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting emotional wellbeing
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
