Salary: £30,000 - £46,000 (MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance)

This school supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN). Your Role & ImpactAs an SEN Teacher, you will look beyond the diagnosis to see the child, adapting your pedagogy to ensure every student thrives:
- Bespoke Curriculum Delivery:
Adapt the National Curriculum to meet the sensory and cognitive needs of your pupils. - EHCP Leadership:
Work at the center of a multi‑disciplinary team to implement and track Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. - Communication Specialist:
Utilise PECS, Makaton, or Signalong to provide a voice for non‑verbal or pre‑verbal learners. - Nurturing Environment:
Create a low‑arousal classroom that promotes emotional regulation and reduces anxiety. - Supervision:
Lead a team of dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide high‑quality 1:1 and small group intervention.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS):
Essential. - SEN
Experience:
Proven experience teaching children with ASD, SLD, or complex needs (Special school or Mainstream SRP experience). - Adaptability: A teacher who can pivot their lesson plan in the moment to follow a child’s interest or sensory requirements.
- Resilience: A calm, grounded approach to managing challenging behaviours and emotional outbursts.
- Specialist Facilities:
Access to sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pools, and outdoor learning spaces. - Professional Development:
