We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Content Director to lead the strategic delivery of high-quality content across digital journeys for Fresh Egg’s clients.

About the role

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of content, digital journeys, UX, SEO and commercial performance.

Full time/permanent

Location:

Worthing (hybrid) - office based 2 days per week

In this role you’ll take ownership of complex, multidisciplinary content programmes for our clients, while helping shape the future of content as a discipline within the agency.

This role is about doing two things brilliantly:

  • Delivering high-impact content strategy and digital journey transformation for our clients
  • Strengthening and evolving Fresh Egg’s content capability, standards and reputation in the market

You’ll act as one of our senior content authorities across the agency, working independently with senior client stakeholders and confidently guiding strategy, decision-making and delivery. Alongside this, you’ll support the Head of Content in evolving methodologies, governance frameworks and best practice across the discipline.

If you enjoy influencing at a senior level, leading complex projects and shaping how content drives measurable business impact, this is a role where you’ll have genuine ownership and visibility.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading complex, multidisciplinary content projects, particularly those involving digital journey restructuring and experience transformation.
  • Acting as senior content lead across key accounts and retainers, setting strategic direction and ensuring consistently high standards of delivery.
  • Translating client business objectives into clear, measurable content strategies aligned to user needs, search strategy and conversion goals.
  • Working closely with UX, SEO, CRO, analytics and design specialists to deliver integrated, commercially-focused solutions.
  • Facilitating workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder meetings, confidently guiding senior clients without the need for oversight.
  • Defining and evolving content methodologies, templates and governance frameworks to strengthen consistency and scalability across the discipline.
