An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Vaccination Nurse post within the supportive friendly Maternity team post holder will work as part of a dynamic team delivering a flexible, safe and effective vaccination service for pregnant women and people as part of UHSussex Trust. The successful candidate will support the roll out of the Whooping Cough, Flu and new RSV vaccine vaccination programmes.
The successful applicant will also be involved in the promotion of vaccinations and screening in pregnancy and support staff to increase awareness of healthy pregnancy choices to our maternity service users. The post holder will contribute to audit, quality record keeping and service promotion. This post will involve working flexibly across the working week in the Antenatal Clinic.
Main duties of the jobDelivery of the Maternity Vaccination programme as set out by NHS England. This will include the Whooping Cough, Flu and new RSV vaccine. Public Health promotion about additional vaccines will also be included in this role. Contribution to the organisation and delivery of this clinic, alongside audit, protocol development and record keeping is expected.
Experience and Qualifications- NMC registration
- Some experience as an RN in outpatient area
- Demonstrates an interest in Women's Health
- Evidence of Public Health experience
- Evidence of professional development since qualification
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.

This role does not meet the minimum criteria for visa sponsorship under the current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. As such, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this post. Applicants will therefore need to already have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
