Job overviewThe Community Midwifery Team Leader is responsible for providing visible clinical and operational leadership to the Community Midwifery Teams across both St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester and Worthing Hospital sites.
The post holder will lead and coordinate community maternity services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, woman-centred care in line with Trust objectives, national standards, and professional requirements.
Working collaboratively across sites, the Team Leader will support workforce management, service development, quality improvement, and performance monitoring while fostering a positive culture that promotes learning, staff wellbeing, and excellent patient experience. The role requires effective cross-site working, ensuring consistency of practice and seamless maternity care across the University Hospitals Sussex at St Richards and Worthing.
This role includes participation in the Manager on Call roster.
Main duties of the job- Provide effective clinical and operational leadership for the Community Midwifery Teams across St Richard’s Hospital and Worthing Hospital.
