Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business.
  • Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office-related growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
  • Start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role requires in-person work.
  • Travel between offices as required.
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
  • Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
  • Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and work with the Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concerns.
  • Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
  • Travel between offices as required.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment*
Your Expertise
  • People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading a growth-oriented culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)*

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Qualifying associates may participate in incentive plans and may enroll in benefits described below.

Pay Range
