Summary:

The Mortgage Loan Officer position provides excellent customer service to each customer at all times. Responsibilities include using internal and external referral sources to develop mortgage loan business, building, and maintaining business relationships within the community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new and expand existing referral sources to grow mortgage business.
• Advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products using consultative selling techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service from approval through closing, working closely with loan origination sources to secure and verify all underwriting information.
• Maintain client relationships.
• Assist customers in completing loan applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, portfolio programs).
• Understanding of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to cross-sell financial products and services.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency in PC and internet skills.
