Medical AR Billing Specialist

Ohio Foot and Ankle Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing Specialist to support accurate and timely medical billing operations. This role is responsible for claim submission, payment posting, follow-up, and ensuring compliance with payer requirements.

• Submit medical claims accurately and timely to insurance carriers
• Review claims for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to submission
• Post insurance payments, adjustments, and denials
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies
• Work denied claims and submitted corrected or appealed claims as needed

• Maintain compliance with billing regulations, payer guidelines, and company policies
• Communicate professionally with insurance companies, internal teams, and leadership
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing processes preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with EMR/practice management systems
• Reliable attendance and professionalism
