Helping keep Wotton‑under‑Edge connected, organised and welcoming.

Wotton‑under‑Edge Town Council is strengthening how it works as the organisation grows and prepares for future responsibilities. We are looking for two Administration Officers who enjoy variety, take pride in supporting people and want to be part of a team that makes a visible difference to daily life in the town.

About the role

These are busy, people‑focused roles at the heart of the Council’s operations. You will help keep governance running smoothly, support councillors and colleagues, and play a key part in the One Stop Shop — the front door to many of the Council’s services. You’ll help residents access information, support consultations and events, maintain accurate records and contribute to digital updates and communications.

You’ll be part of a small, friendly team that values professionalism, community service and clear communication. No two days are the same, and your work will help ensure the Council remains organised, accessible and responsive as expectations grow.

About you
  • Confidence working in a busy administrative or customer‑facing environment
  • Strong organisation and the ability to keep things moving during busy periods
  • Clear, friendly communication and a calm, professional approach
  • Good digital skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and online tools
  • A positive, helpful attitude and the ability to work well with a wide range of people
  • Reliability, attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality work
  • A commitment to public service and supporting the Council’s work for the community

If you enjoy varied work, supporting people and being part of a team that keeps services running smoothly, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to Wotton‑under‑Edge’s next phase of development.

Closing date: 5pm, Tuesday 13th October 2026

Interviews:
In person week commencing 26th October 2026
