Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are looking for a Facilities Technician to work for a high-performance engineering company, taking ownership of its facilities across three sites, all within a five-minute drive of each other. You will ensure the buildings provide a safe, efficient and pleasant environment for employees and visitors, combining hands-on involvement with responsibility for maintenance planning, contractors and compliance.

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for:
  • Managing the maintenance and upkeep of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural components.
  • Planning and overseeing routine inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs across all sites.
  • Managing contractors and service providers for specialist maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Leading the response to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimise disruption.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Overseeing facilities supplies, budgets and the setup of events and company spaces.
  • Supervising facilities staff and supporting the movement of equipment between sites, including driving company vehicles when required.
The Facilities Technician will have:
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
  • Experience managing contractors, maintenance schedules and health and safety compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and support a team.
  • A clean driving licence, with a Class 1 licence and a facilities management qualification (such as IWFM) being advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity for a facilities professional to shape how a growing engineering business runs its sites day to day.
