This role is based inside a prison and involves working alongside serving offenders. You will be required to pass enhanced security vetting as part of the recruitment process. The role is not a standard warehouse position – it supports the HMPPS Canteen Service, where offenders use their own money to purchase approved items such as food, toiletries and everyday essentials. The team is responsible for picking, packing and distributing these orders within the prison.

• Work inside a prison, leading and working alongside offenders in a warehouse
• Hands‑on role – picking, packing and manual handling (up to 20 kg)
• Keep stock accurate and the operation running smoothly
• Work at pace when needed and stay organised
• Work as a team to meet targets

• Able to communicate clearly and deal with people, including in challenging situations
• Comfortable working inside a prison alongside offenders
• Have 3 years UK address history (required for security clearance)
• Hands‑on and willing to get stuck into warehouse tasks
• Interested in doing a job that can make a real difference
