Salary Range: $99,000 – $128,000 annually

Sign-On Bonus: $25,000

Relocation Bonus: $10,000

Geographic Differential: Additional $25,000 annually

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care provides professional, compassionate, and patient‑centered nursing care for residents across various age groups. This role involves coordinating and implementing nursing procedures, leading a team of CNAs, LPNs, and support staff, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of resident care. RNs are accountable for clinical decisions during their scheduled shifts and are expected to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.

This position requires strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.

• Deliver safe, therapeutic, and efficient nursing care using proper infection control measures.
• Assess and document resident conditions, formulate care plans, and update progress regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate resident care.
• Provide patient and family education, counseling, and emotional support.
• Lead and supervise nursing staff, ensuring proper delegation and adherence to standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and staff education.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Serve as Charge Nurse in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, BSN, or Diploma).
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or eligibility to obtain before start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association required).
• Clinical and High‑Risk Competency assessments required within 3 months of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Prior experience in long‑term care or geriatric nursing is a plus.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
• In‑depth understanding of nursing care standards, documentation, and resident safety.
• Ability to recognize and respond promptly to adverse symptoms and emergencies.
• Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Proficient in use of electronic health records (EHR).

• Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel.
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, or crouch.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
