* Job Description:
** - Coordinate and deliver exceptional nursing care to residents of various ages.
- Utilize professional knowledge to perform nursing procedures while considering specific resident conditions and treatments.
- Engage in patient and family education, promoting understanding and health literacy.
- Collaborate effectively with ancillary nursing staff and other healthcare team members to uphold high standards of care.
- Maintain accountability for clinical decisions made during the shift, demonstrating sound nursing judgment in emergency situations.
- Ensure proper delegation and supervision of CNAs, LPNs, and Ward Clerks on the unit.

* Key Responsibilities:
** - Implement safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for residents with multisystem diseases.
- Document care accurately, initiating actions to prevent risks to residents.
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments through interviewing, observation, and nursing processes.
- Identify resident capabilities and limitations through detailed assessments.
- Impart educational knowledge to enhance skills and decision-making for residents, families, and staff.
- Communicate positively and constructively with colleagues and residents.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans addressing identified resident needs.
- Attend departmental meetings and participate in unit goal setting.
- Take on charge nurse responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
** Requirements:** - Must have an active AK nursing license.
- Provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance.
- Must have a current flu vaccine.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, BCLS, PALS, NRP, ATT.
