Open Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual challenges referred by the Department of Developmental Services. In an Open Sky residential program, everyone is encouraged to play an active role in community life through volunteering, classes, group outings, and health club participation. Our dedicated staff ensures individuals have the necessary supports and skills to build a successful, satisfying life in the community while enabling meaningful, active lives.

The Residential Counselor supports individuals diagnosed with a Developmental Disability to live as independently as possible while providing evidence-based treatment and care within a group living environment.

• Assist in developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans and lead daily implementation.
• Implement all procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and general cleanliness and safety of the physical site.
• Assist individuals to access and/or provide transportation.
• Review and complete all required documentation.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

• Excellent supervision, professional development, and training opportunities.
• Generous paid time off plan – 29 days in the first year, increasing to 32 days in the second year; current maximum is 43 days.
