Mac Gregor Black are partnering with a well-established consumer products group to recruit an Accountant for a 3 to 6 month contract based in Wrexham. This role sits within a c. £6m turnover UK subsidiary of a larger international business and will play a key part in maintaining financial control during a busy trading period.

This is a hands on role suited to someone comfortable operating across the full accounting cycle in a stock based business.

• Ownership of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Maintenance of the General Ledger
• Month end support including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations and control
• Stock accounting and inventory reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and local statutory requirements
• Supporting reporting into the wider group structure

• Proven experience as an Accountant within manufacturing, retail, ecommerce or another stock led environment
• Strong working knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger
• Experience preparing month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Understanding of UK GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements
• Comfortable working in a smaller subsidiary environment within a larger group
• Available at short notice and able to commit to a 3 to 6 month contract

This is a practical, delivery focused role where you will be expected to roll your sleeves up and take ownership quickly. Ideal for an experienced Accountant who thrives in operational environments and enjoys working close to the detail.
