Job Overview
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the Wrexham Acute Paediatrics Department Reception. This is a full time, permanent post which covers a range of administrative tasks to aid the continuity of an extremely busy service to our patients/carers and other professional colleagues.
The successful candidate will also support the retrieval, organisation, and provision of medical case notes, ensuring accurate filing and timely preparation of documentation. They will contribute to the smooth running of the outpatient reception service by delivering a professional and efficient administrative experience. They will also be responsible for maintaining the Patient Note Tracking System, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
Previous reception and customer service experience is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel is required. The ability to prioritise work, be highly organised, excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly telephone manner, and maintaining confidentiality at all times are paramount to this post.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide a professional and efficient reception service within the Children's Outpatient area, ensuring that all patients and visitors are welcomed in an appropriate manner. By the nature of the duties, the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff and other service users, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.

- GCSE Level A-C
- Welsh speaking - minimum level 3 required
- Previous Customer Service/Receptionist experience
- Experience in all office procedures within an NHS environment
- Knowledge of WPAS
- Familiar with word package and the use of outlook
- Able to work to deadlines
- Able to communicate with all staff groups patients and families
- Able to demonstrate experience in all aspects of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills
