Admin Assistant – ESBD Provision
Temporary Contract. Grade: G04.
Start date:
September 2026. 18.75 hours per week (Pro‑Rata) during Term Time.
- Providing high‑quality administrative support to the school leadership team and wider staff.
- Acting as the first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors, and external professionals.
- Managing telephone calls, emails, and front office enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Maintaining accurate pupil records and confidential documentation.
- Supporting attendance monitoring and appointments.
- Processing orders, invoices, and general office administration tasks.
- Supporting safeguarding procedures and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Working closely with teaching staff and external agencies to support pupils and families.
- Assisting with admissions, transition arrangements, and parent meetings where required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with parents, carers, pupils, and professionals.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with challenging or sensitive situations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A professional and confidential approach at all times.
- Good ICT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality within a school setting.
- Experience working within a school or educational environment is advantageous.
- Previous experience using Bromcom/SIMS, P2P systems, NMRU Milk Returns, SWAC/PLASC/ATTENDANCE.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
