NORTH WALES COMMUNITY DENTAL SERVICE
Based at the Wrexham Dental Centre
Full Time - 37.5 hours
PERMANENT North Wales Community Dental Service is currently seeking to appoint a Secretary / Receptionist in the Wrexham Dental Centre.
The postholder will provide a Secretarial / Receptionist service to the Dental Centre, being the first point of contact for visitors and patients to the service. This can involve dealing with sensitive and potentially difficult / stressful situations in a calm and sensitive manner. The post also requires providing secretarial / administrative support to the CDS Administration team.
Welsh is essential for this role, excellent organisational skills and IT skills as well as working to deadlines are essential qualities for this role.

Main duties of the job- Working with the North Wales Community Dental Services.
- Working closely with and providing support to qualified staff in order to ensure the smooth running of clinics ensuring safe patient focused care at all times.
Welsh language skills need to be learnt when appointed to the post.

Person specification Qualifications And/or Knowledge Essential criteria- Able to demonstrate English and Mathematical skills RSA Stage 2 or equivalent NVQ 3 in Administration/Information Technology
- NVQ II Admin/customer care.
- Clerical/Secretarial experience Numeracy and cash handling Previous NHS experience WPAS and Welsh Clinical Portal References Job application Skills Clear, legible
- Previous NHS experience
- Clear, legible handwriting Good verbal and written communication skills Good organisational skills Able to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks Typing/Word processing Maintaining Confidentiality Good secretarial skills Good time management skills Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to use electronic information systems and word processing packages Knowledge of medical and dental terminology
