Job Overview

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; however, applications are welcomed from both Welsh and English speakers. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide accurate, efficient, and effective administrative support to Children and Young People's Services within the East area.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will possess a good standard of education, excellent communication skills, and a professional telephone manner, with the ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels. They will be organised, proactive, and capable of managing their workload effectively, using their own initiative to meet competing priorities and deadlines.

Previous experience working in a busy office environment is essential, particularly in settings with frequent interruptions, high workloads, and conflicting demands. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong keyboard and IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.

The ability to maintain a professional, sensitive, and confidential approach at all times is essential. Experience of audio typing would be advantageous.
