Procurement Officer

We’re looking for a Procurement Officer to play a key role in supporting and leading activity across a range of projects and categories. Along with a salary of £46,142 - £48,226 per annum, we offer flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance, the opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute to regional growth and sustainability, professional development and a supportive team culture that values collaboration and innovation. This is a three year, fixed term contract initially.

• Managing complex projects and negotiations, ensuring value for money and strong supplier performance. Supporting the development of sourcing strategies that reflect our environmental and social values. Using data and analysis to inform planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring. Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and systems. Supporting and sharing knowledge with the procurement team, stepping into a leadership role when required to ensure continuity and progress.

• Previous experience in the role, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier engagement. ACIPS qualification(or equivalent), with a strong understanding of public procurement principles. A proactive and analytical mindset, with the ability to solve problems and drive improvements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Confidence using digital tools and systems to support activity.
