Nursery Practitioner Level 3

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
• Organise and lead group activities that encourage learning and social interaction
• Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
• Assist in the organisation of outings or trips, including driving when necessary
• Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment that promotes inclusion and diversity
• Manage behaviour positively and constructively to promote good manners and respect among children

• Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
• Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily nursery operations effectively
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable
• Experience with nursery management systems is advantageous
• Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or attending outings
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
