Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Organise and lead group activities that encourage learning and social interaction
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
- Assist in the organisation of outings or trips, including driving when necessary
- Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment that promotes inclusion and diversity
- Manage behaviour positively and constructively to promote good manners and respect among children
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily nursery operations effectively
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable
- Experience with nursery management systems is advantageous
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or attending outings
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
